So, I started using Tom’s Natural Deodorant. And let me tell you, that stuff simply doesn’t work – at least not for me, the sweaty betty who LOVES TO GET HER SWEAT ON! When you can smell your own stink, it is never a good thing! AND I have been using it for years…felt sorry for the girls next to me at boot camp!
So now for the good news….after searching around the web and looking for some recipes, I concocted my own homemade deodorant – woot woot! Kudos goes out to the Wellness Mama for some ideas and a few other wonderful health goddesses. I simply took what they were saying, looked in my cupboard and pieced together a masterpiece that withstood a hike in 85 degree weather – straight up the dang mountain no less! This stuff is good!
This all-natural product is made with coconut oil, arrowroot, baking soda, and essential oils.
RECIPE:
1/4 cup Coconut Oil
1/4 cup Arrowroot
1/4 cup Baking Soda
10 drops Essential Oil (I love Plumeria or Joy)
Melt together and pour into empty deodorant container or a shallow jar.
May the smells be forever in your favor!
