What are your thoughts on keto snacks? Today, I will be sharing with you how you can find the right keto snacks for you!
The first one I found was Keto trail mix. On the front of the label, it says six grams of net carbs, coconut, and dark chocolate, almonds, dried coconut macadamia nuts, coconut macron flavored, almonds dark chocolate drops.
Everybody’s looking at the front of it and going, “oh that looks pretty good” but do they look at the fine print?
At the back, I noticed that there is sugar in these snacks and there’s brown sugar and there is organic cane sugar.
So you tell me if that is keto? Not in my book! Snd the serving size is only a quarter cup.
Come on! That’s pretty small.
How often do you just have a quarter cup of some sort of a snacky type of food? Not going to happen! I mean, corn syrup?
Please – that’s four different types of sugar that are in this one product. So I say, DON’T BUY IT!
I also found coconut keto clusters. They said it has pecans, almonds, pumpkin seeds. Sounds really good, right?
NO! Not so much.
When you look at the back label and look at the fine print, you will see cane sugar and brown rice syrup. The total carbs are four net carbs for one ounce which doesn’t seem to be a lot when you’re looking at the serving size. So is this a keto?
Nah. Not in my opinion!
I wouldn’t eat it.
Next up we had a keto snack mix. This one looked okay. It has macadamias, pecans, pepitas, almonds, and cheese balls. No sugar.
So then that way you’re not going to be craving it, needing more and more and more because when your brain gets a hit of sugar, it lights up like a pinball machine. All the pleasure centers are activated but with this keto snack mix, it’s pretty benign and you should be.
BUT
Please remember to always be mindful and ask yourself, “am I really hungry or do I just need a hug?”
I always say whole food is the best. Absolutely 100% whole food.
