How to Strengthen your Core

We are going to have a plank challenge and I’m going to do a little demo over the exercises.

It’s a 30-day plank challenge taking it all the way from twenty seconds to five minutes and you can start anytime you want because it’s just your own thirty days but I’m going to show you what I mean.

I’m going to go ahead and demo all the different little things for you.

The first thing you’re going to do is shoulder tap.So you’re going to do spread your feet and you are going to tap your shoulders really slowly. 

Next is hip rocks.
Push your feet together, get down on your forearms and rock your hips. This works your oblique’s like you cannot believe.

Next we have saw. Saw are great after hip rocks because you’re already down to forearm plank. 

Next we have marches.
A march is you’re on a forearm plank or a hand plank and you go down down up up and then you switch your lead hand. 

Don’t get your butt up, stay nice and tight like a diving board

Next is knees.
So the first day, twenty shoulder taps 20 seconds or you can even

put on like one of those little tempo timers. They use for a piano or you can find an app on your phone. 

I have an interval timer on my phone that will do 30-second intervals. 

On the last day, you have to do each of those five exercises for one minute so you can either do all of them.

At once or every 30 seconds, do one half and then do the other half so you’re rotating through. I think that actually might be a little bit easier especially on those hip rocks because those obliques will be on fire.
