This recipe is definitely a family favorite.
Funny story, a long time ago, I made this for the kids and the cap of the cayenne fell off and dumped hot pepper inside the pan. Being the busy mom I am, I just stirred it in and served it.
Well let me tell you, my poor boys and their friend were literally sweating at the dinner table. They pounded the water and were on fire. But they kept eating it.
Why? because it tastes sooooo good.
I LOVE using fat-burning spices in my cooking. And this recipe has so much flavor, it literally rocks my world. AND it’s super easy to make.
First, chop the onion, garlic and ginger. I use this cool chopper I bought for $25.
Saute them in coconut oil. And add tomato paste.
Add all spices.
Mix into a paste.
Coat chicken with spice mixture.
Add water and yogurt. Cook until chicken is done.
Serve with chopped cilantro and optional cauliflower rice.
