Today our country has been focused on remembering 9/11. Twelve years ago our nation was attacked! No longer did I feel safe, but vulnerable and afraid of what might happen next.
At first I was looking at images from that day and felt the pain of remembering. So then I looked at the memorial images instead. They were a reminder of people who lost loved ones, heroes who sacrificed their lives to save others, and families who were broken apart by this tragedy.
Now I choose to not dwell on what happened but on appreciating what I have today!
Yesterday was history, tomorrow a mystery, all we have is today and that’s why they call it the present!
Now go out and love somebody, hug someone special, and call your mom!
