Meet Dr. Anna Cabeca
Dr. Anna Cabeca is an internationally-acclaimed menopause and sexual health expert, global speaker and pioneering promoter of women’s health. ABOUT DR. ANNA CABECA
I am a triple board certified physician
I have been in practice and have nearly 30 years of clinical experience
One thing that I have discovered is, women are generally confused about our hormones
I saw my mom struggle at an early age. We talked about our stories and how important it affects and shapes us for our entire lives
When I was 16 years old, my mom was 52 years old and was undergoing her first heart surgery
I recognized at that time how little research there was back in the early 1980’s
So that let me to gynecology and obstetrics
And I was diagnosed with menopause at age 38
I was diagnosed of pre-menopause/ovarian failure and I was devastated with that
I was over 240 pounds, I was struggling in every way and I was a top-notch world class physician and hormone expert
I went around the world to get an answer and learn from healers
Low and behold, I became pregnant and delivered when I was 41 years old. It was a miracle child
When I turned 48 years old, that’s when I really dug into Keto and combined it with my detox and nutrition program.
This has been miraculous for so many women to help with their hormone balance. Especially during the transition of hormone irregularity with menopausal periods which can really last 10 to 15 years
I hit menopause again at 48, the weight gain started coming back on
And I was experiencing what my patients would tell me they experienced
My patients would come in and tell me that they aren’t doing anything different and they are gaining weight
And I have to rewire my metabolism because I have struggled all my life with weight
That’s when I decided that I am going to make Keto work for me
And I recognized that my urine pH will turn acidic and so I focused on getting my urinary pH alkaline and maintain that while I got into ketosis
That combination of getting an alkaline urine pH or keto green by adding more greens and also the lifestyle changes because it is not just what we eat that affects our body and hormones, this made a huge difference
I gained up to 20 pounds at that transition time period and within 6 weeks I lost 18 lbs
I did it while feeling good
Will power is hormonal, so we have to feel good in doing something
It was 5 years ago when I was experiencing that
And so, that’s when I initially started testing my most difficult patients
I had them get keto alkaline or keto green, I called it my magic menopause program and I have had thousands of women through that program making them test their urine and follow my keto green nutrition and lifestyle plan

The hormone balancing, the energy, the coming off meds and just feeling and looking better
When progesterone levels start to decline, that’s a huge neuroprotective factor
So, I was think that’s why it’s really hard for women that are 40-60 years old to really optimize without making sure that we have got that alkalinity component on board
I was always on my detox diet and alkaline, but had a healthy amount of carbs
I ate very healthy and yet, the weigh crept up, just like what my patients told me
And then, I tried keto again and that’s when I noticed that I was irritable and you can’t do that with raising kids
So, I figured out to test out my urine pH and I am so acidic and it increases the risk of osteoporosis, metabolic syndrome, heart disease or cancer
Science has shown that the lower your urinary pH the higher the risk for debilitating chronic diseases
Then, I was doing Keto with the alkalinity, with no snacking, and with intermittent fasting

I have an energy elixir and it’s a scoop of Might Maca, a Tbsp of Bragg’s Apple Cider Vinegar, a half teaspoon of lemon juice and warm water. Stir that up and drink that down
If you are acidic in the morning, switch to green tea
We are totally designed on how we nourish our body, not just how we eat but also how we think and what is possible
If we can believe that cancer can be reversed, then faith with action gives us results

TYPICAL DAY FOR YOU WITH YOUR NUTRITION
I get up in the morning and drink a tall glass of alkaline water, and sometimes I put some lemon juice in it
I also take a little apple cider vinegar, and chug down my Mighty Maca
I read all my devotionals
Then, I’ll have my cup of coffee
I put a tablespoon of MCT oil in it and less than a teaspoon ghee
Then, I’ll work out
And I’ll drink my keto green smoothie
I have a green smoothie in a chocolate shake formula that’s just being released
If I did not have my shake, I will have a tablespoon of almond butter, a handful of greens, chia seeds, flaxseed, a tablespoon of MCT oil, combine in one little bowl, add a scoop of Mighty Maca and blend that up
Chia seeds and flaxseeds are good for hormone balancing especially for menopause because we want to have that fiber
I typically range from a 13 to 15 hour fast
I like to eat at 5:00 and have to have my shake before 10:00 AM
For lunch, a green salad
Some parsley, baby kale, avocado, almond, pumpkin seeds and add some protein with that
I typically have lemon juice with olive oil, garlic and salt
That’s the perfect alkaline side dressing
3 meals, no snacking – very simple
Because I have Mighty Maca, I don’t do juicing
I am more of a blender person than a juicer
I have a keto green chocolate shake, zero grams of sugar, 14 grams of protein per scoop

My book is my life’s work
