Meet Tina:

Tina Anderson’s journey into the world of health had a unique start and some unusual turns. She began her career as a trial lawyer who specialized in settling cases by bringing both sides together, a personal passion of hers.

Once her second child arrived, Tina left that high-stress job behind so she could focus on her family. Luckily, she was still able to use her considerable legal skills to point her career in a new direction as the in-house counsel for a family pharmaceutical company. But what Tina saw there made her change direction again. Frustrated by the many cases of abuse in the pharmaceutical industry, Tina turned toward the field of natural health and found her life’s work. She channeled her energy into learning all she could about disease prevention and good health maintenance. That led her to discover the importance of gut health and how connected and crucial it is for overall health and wellness.

To share her discovery with the world, Tina along with her husband created a unique supplement that contains the superior probiotic strains of renowned researcher Dr. Simon Cutting. By promoting gut health and probiotics, Tina shares her passion for wellness, helping others live their best physical and emotional lives.

ABOUT TINA

  • I started out as a trial attorney
  • I was in medication for many years and after the crazy hours I work, I went into the pharmaceutical industry, and I was able to stay home a little bit more with my children at that time, and it was great
  • I was in the pharmaceutical industry with my husband, and after being in the pharmaceutical industry for many years, we saw a lot of abuses that were going on
  • We saw it with our own family members, the overprescribing of drugs
  • My job now is to go to every cardiologist in this hospital system and tell them to lower the number that they recommend in prescribing this medication for
  • We just realized that we were not doing our life’s work and we weren’t doing something that was the way we live our lives
  • We were very natural people, we really focused on a more holistic lifestyle
  • We just said that we should do our life’s work
  • One day, we were offered to license a product from London University together with Dr. Simon
  • From there, thrive was born and it has been incredible
  • 2014 was we launched the product

WHAT PUT YOU INTO THAT HOLISTIC SPACE

  • I didn’t have any gut issues and neither did my husband or my children
  • We started learning about the gut and learned about the importance of it
  • We just knew that what people were doing to take care of their gut wasn’t really effective based on this new science
  • We now know that the gut is so much more than just digestive issue
  • The gut is responsible for every aspect of our overall health
  • Pharma is so focused on treatment and we wanted to focus on prevention
  • We wanted to focus on what we can bring to people that could help them live a happier, healthier, longer and meaningful life as they age
  • You thing that you have constant bloating or diarrhea or constipation, those types of things – people kind of associate that with gut issues
  • Most people don’t think about that there’s this huge gut-brain connection
  • There is this communication called the vagus nerve, it’s the biggest communication between your gut and brain
  • There’s this say, “trust your gut” and those are real things because there’s this huge communication going on
  • If people are thinking that they have anxiety, depression, Alzheimer’s or dementia, all of those things are all stemming from the gut
  • Pretty much all disease like cancer, dementia, Alzheimer’s, autoimmune disease, stems from your gut
  • All of these types these diseases are stemming from your gut
  • Make sure you’re getting an adequate amount of sleep
  • We should not underestimate sleep
  • Drink lots of water
  • Taking a high-quality probiotic is key
  • If you are inflammation going on in your gut, you’re not absorbing nutrients
  • Just to be defined as a probiotic, it needs to arrive alive
  • It doesn’t need to be alive in the refrigerator, that’s not necessary and that’s such a myth out there with probiotics
  • It’s not until they hit the intestines that they become alive
  • The probiotic is good for rebalancing and reconditioning your gut
  • Everything we do is based on a study and science
  • We recommend taking the probiotic with food
  • We have also prebiotics, one of the problems people have with prebiotics is they fee bacteria and they just don’t know how to distinguish good or bad bacteria

  • The prebiotic, you can take with food and you can also not

  • The LPS toxins are toxins that are found in their gut
  • They aren’t really a problem until they go to the bloodstreams, and that’s what causes an inflammatory response in our immune system
