

The plank is a great move to strengthen your core, which is the area of your body commonly referred to as your abs. But it also includes your sides and low back. Strengthening this part of your body is important, not just to look good, but to help prevent back injuries.
Many of us have done a plank challenge and I am the first to say that 5 minutes of holding a plank is tough. Heck, holding any pose for 5 minutes is not easy and it is especially BORING. So I composed a fun alternative.
If you are a rookie, and planks are really really hard, then you can always just hold the plank. But if you prefer more spice in your life, then go for this option.
You can watch the below video if you choose to learn the moves instead of just holding a stationary plank for time. count each beat as one second. So go slower than you think you want to. On the hip rocks, you can go right and left in one second, or just one count.
