Today I’m going to teach you how to make yogurt – the wheat belly style!
The first thing you’re going to do is have a yogurt maker or you can use the oven but I prefer using a yogurt maker so I can set it and forget it.
I have mine in louvelle but I’m sure that you can find yogurt makers all over the place at any point store.
Step 1 is you want a base, a probiotic base.
A probiotic I use is BioGaia and this is the one the wheat belly book recommends or you can use pre-made yogurt as a base.
If you’re gonna do the BioGaia, you want 10 tablets and you grind it up with a mortar and pestle to break down all of the pills. But for today I’m gonna, use the yogurt
You’ll need:
2 Tbsp Inulin. (This is a prebiotic powder.)
2 Tbsp of pre-made yogurt
A splash of grass-fed half and half
Directions:
Use a mixer to get out all the sticky clumps
Add in the rest of your half and half making it into 4 cups.
Mix it up again.
Pour and you fill your little yogurt cups.
Fill it with water because it goes in a water bath and then you set it for 100 degrees and you let it do the job you let it cook for 36 hours and if you don’t have a yogurt maker you can set your oven. You would put it in a big bowl or a bunch of different little ramekins and put them in a water bath and set it in your oven at 100 degrees for a day and a half
