Healthy Habit Hack #5: Top 9 Supplements You SHOULD Take

Supplements get a bad rep by some people and that’s because, in my opinion, all supplements aren’t created equal. We’ve got good quality supplements and we’ve got the crappy supplements.

But supplements don’t mean that you can just pop all these pills and go eat at McDonald’s, they are supplementing an already healthy diet because sadly our food is not like it used to be. We do not replace the minerals in the soil, we pick our food before it’s ripened and we ship it across the country and we gas the truck so that it will ripen so when it’s in your grocery store, it’s all pretty and beautiful and so it’s just not as nutritious as it used to be.

We also need more nutrition because we’re exposed to so many toxins in our environment that our cells and our body’s organs like our liver and our detoxifiers are constantly under attack.

So I’m gonna be honest. I hate popping pills but I do it anyway and today I’m gonna show you the three different categories of
supplements that I take myself.

  • Digestive health
I take enzymes and I take probiotics. My favorite from bioptimizers. It’s a great company and I’ve been taking these products for several years. I really like their enzymes because I don’t get bloated from eating like I used to and their probiotics are great for gut health.
  • Vitamins, minerals, etc.
I have my vitamins, minerals, and fish oil. These are very high quality and then I have a joint formula that I use because at the age of 56, your joints get a little tight from wear and tear and years.
  • Immune-boosting supplements
These are super important because a strong immune system helps fight back against viruses, parasites bacterial infections, and even cancer so. Of course, there’s zinc and when you take zinc you need quercetin with it to help the zinc get into the cell. Then I take my vitamin D3 and K-2 these are like salt and pepper, they go together. D3 we know we get from the sun but sunscreen makes it not go into your skin so it doesn’t get absorbed and you have sunscreen on.

Then K-2 takes the calcium out of your arteries and shuttles it into your bones.

  • Detoxifier
NAC actually helps your body produce glutathione which is a natural detoxifier.

I have a little pill compartment where I keep these in my purse so with every meal that is how I take for supplements easy
peasy. Just get a pillbox and make it part of your daily healthy habit.
