Health Benefits of Fasting


We are going to talk about fasting and why the old-school thing of “breakfast being the most important meal of the day is false.  And how you can incorporate fasting to actually age stronger. 

So what are the health benefits of fasting? Well, let’s first talk about what is fasting. 

Fasting: is not eating any food. It’s not putting calories or anything inside of your body that is going to increase the blood sugar or increase your glucose.

One thing that does work that I find really helpful when fasting is adding one teaspoon of MCT oil in my coffee before I hit the gym first thing in the morning. Some of the reasons that I fast are because it will decrease inflammation in your body. 

It will also do something really cool called Autophagy which is when your body’s recycling of damaged cells so you can get rid of all of the damaged cells before bad things start to happen like tumor formation and things like that, and so it will just recycle all of the damaged parts of the cells and create better healthy quality cells. 

Another benefit is Human Growth Hormone. Human Growth Hormone (HGH) is something that’s really magical and wonderful because it’s Fountain of Youth type of thing that’s why all the people in Hollywood spend big bucks getting injections of human growth hormone. 

Well, guess what? Just by simply laying off the food and fasting letting your body heal that you will boost human growth hormone production. 

You’re probably wondering, what’s the big deal with human growth hormone? The substance produced by the pituitary gland and it is in our bodies as we’re growing into from children to adolescents and through puberty. It starts declining around the age of 30 and that’s when age-related symptoms start setting in, it will help you build muscle and bone and decrease fat which will regulate your body composition and it can help with your heart as well this is all. 

According to WebMD. it has been reported to reverse the aging process you will also boost stem cells.

Stem cells are also something that are miracles of life. You can regenerate tissue with stem cell production. And what’s the big deal with stem cells? Well, according to the National Institute of Health, they offer the possibility of a renewable source of replacement cells and tissues to treat diseases. 

My sister-in-law had stem cells injected into her shoulder because she had massive shoulder pain for many years and didn’t want to have surgery and that injection was able to take away her pain because the stem cells go into the joint and they start becoming the cells that were damaged inside the joint they can regenerate into all different types of cells including muscle cells, cartilage cells and I even believe bone cells.

There are so many wonderful benefits of fasting. Many people begin that journey because they’re trying to lose weight which is another thing because you’re going to be into a deep state of ketosis producing all those wonderful ketones. 

When you’re in a fasted state your ketones will raise your glucose will fall and you’re going to feel more mental clarity more energy you will be off of that wonky blood sugar roller coaster and you’re going to feel amazing. 

Remember: Your body can handle it, it’s your mind that you have to convince. Because it’s challenging and it is not easy mentally. You’re not gonna die though don’t worry, and you’re not gonna starve your face. You just want to make sure you drink plenty of water and get your electrolytes and you can enjoy all of the amazing anti-aging health benefits of fasting.
