3 Ways On How To Be Mindful | Simple and Easy

“He who chases two rabbits catches neither.”
I want to tell you that I believe, multitasking is out because your brain can only focus on one thing at a time.
So we want to be a single tasker, not a multi-tasker.
This all came up the other day. I was out to have a glass of wine with a friend and her cell phone was there and it was
facing up so she had distraction after distraction. Both of her kids called her she talked to them for a few minutes, there was a text she had to answer blah blah blah and I’m thinking, those cell phones belong in our purses when we are engaging in somebody and let’s just 100 focus and be mindful with the people who are after our attention.
Step one is checking in with yourself – to decide if you are really truly physically hungry or if there’s an emotional reason that you’re wanting to eat.
If you are physically hungry and your stomach is growling, then  prepare a nice meal, sit down
without distractions and enjoy the meal,
Don’t eat while you’re driving. Don’t eat in front of the television or the computer but just sit and enjoy the meal give some gratitude for that meal and then enjoy each flavor because here’s the thing…we oftentimes don’t chew our food enough and so the digestion that could begin in your mouth with your saliva and the enzymes actually does not happen and so it takes
more time for our stomach and our digestive system to digest the food.
Also, when you eat too fast so then you don’t have that savoring pleasure of enjoying the food. We want to savor every little
moment of mealtime.
Mindful listening is really important because when somebody’s trying to speak with you whether it’s your children or your spouse or your friends or your family, it is good to give them all of your attention because if you’re trying to talk to somebody and they’re only half-listening, how do you like that?
You also want to be mindful when you’re driving. Don’t be distracted and be on your phone but be focused on the road.
