We are going to talk about hormones and continue our discussion from our last video, and the first thing we are going to talk about is Human Growth Hormone.
Debbie:
Human Growth Hormone is actually a hormone that’s produced in the brain.
This hormone stimulates so many things that it stimulates building muscle, helps with bones, it helps you absorb calcium, it controls sugar, and it is a youthful hormone that everybody wants.
You don’t have to get it injected because your body produces it, and the most important thing to know about HGH is, your body produces it with sleep and exercise.
An hour after you fall asleep, your HGH hormone spikes, but HGH is countered by insulin, so this is why you should not eat 3 hours before bed because you do not want your insulin anywhere near your bloodstream when you go to school.
The other thing that triggers it is exercise.
A 10-minute of sweating is enough to boost your HGH.

Doesn’t fasting help with human growth hormone production as well? It is like our fountain of youth that will help us age younger essentially.
With that said, let us talk about Adrenaline.
Adrenaline is produced with your fight or flight hormone.
Chronic stress or chronic adrenaline is not good. Deep breathing is a really effective way to distress.
Debbie:
Your cortisol level is high when you are anxious and just taking deep breaths can calm everything down.
High cortisol is fat storing and you can’t lose weight with that.

Another hormone is serotonin. Seratonin gives you a stable mood and a feeling of joy.
When people have some stress in their life, the supplement I like to recommend is 5HTP.
