#36 Lisa Kloes – Healed Blood Pressure, Hypoglycemia, and Fatigue
Lisa suffered from hypoglycemia, low blood pressure, and extreme fatigue. She had absolutely no energy and would come home from work exhausted. Wonder how she made it through the day.
And then came keto!
SHOW NOTES:
Before I started Keto, I had a lot of health issues
My daily life was just trying to function
I would get up and try to got to work
My life was just out of control. I just could not do anything
I would struggling just going to work and come home just stay on a chair or couch
I used to be running around like crazy and I would be able to have so much energy before all of this
They found out that I have hypoglycemia – that was just the first thing
The my blood pressure started dropping
A lot of time my sugar and blood pressure is dropping
They did put me on a blood pressure pill to make it go higher
My sugar, they had me monitored
There was one time that I blacked out and I was driving. I went off the road
And it was just a lot of doctors, different tests and heart monitors. Just a lot
It has been over a year now since I have anything
HOW DID YOU FIND KETO?
That would be through my daughter
She said, “I think you should try this diet.” And I told her that it is not for me
She insisted and said it is not for weight loss, and that it is going to help me
She started showing me different stories and I tried
I had a disorder when I was younger.
I had anorexia
Through my whole life is low fat
Within a month I have energy to clean my house, to do whatever I want, I have freedom
It changed everything
I went from doing literally doing nothing to not even not knowing what to do because I was just there not enjoying anything
My sugar was leveling out
My blood pressure is good
My husband love that I get so excited about making my meals
I have never ate so much fat and just not worry about it
Just being able to eat everything and not worry about it
I never used to eat burgers and bacon as I do now
I love burgers with cheese and bacon with some greens and mayonnaise. This has been my go to
I just make them in the oven and keep it in the fridge
I just like the recipes. I cook constantly now
My husband Is Keto also
He just eats whatever I make
There was one time that I was a little off and Kelsey told me to add some electrolytes and some magnesium
I started doing that and I got right back on track
Then I think I just needed some electrolytes, but other thatn that everything has been easy and good
Once I was in, I was in. There’s no looking back now
We are all Keto now. My husband and my other daughter too
I count net carbs
Usually it is under 20. I never really go over 20 and it’s not hard
I did do my macros just to make sure I have enough fat, calories and everything just falls into place
I have been doing this for so long now that I know what everything. Like, I think I just track just to see where I was
WHAT ARE YOUR GOALS?
I just want to keep doing this

Fat is your friend and it helped me in so many ways
I can’t believe that I am actually living my life again
My doctor is not really on board
And I haven’t seen him since I have been doing well
He’s old school. He does not understand this either
I was sick for 3 or 4 years and it just test after test
You have to kind of diagnosed your self
Like my husband had Lyme disease and he just keeps on saying what it was
And I said he had a fever and that his body is telling him something
Then I said to tell his doctor that he wants a Lyme’s test and the doctor is saying it is not that
He was leaving for a trip and the doctor caught him and said, “Yeah you’re positive for a Lyme.”
Part of my hypoglycemia is orthostatic hypotension that is cause by low blood sugar and some other cases. It can be cause by a lot of different things
But I already have low blood sugar
After I would eat a meal, I would feel really bad, like super dizzy. And a lot of that was from the carbs
I am eating 2 meals now
I don’t have to eat the small meal to level it out
FAVORITE RECIPE
I like buckeye pie
It is peanut butter and swerve. And then you take lily’s chocolate with heavy whipping cream, and then you melt it together and pour that over, and it has a stick of butter on it
Mine is graham crackers. Just the peanut butter, swerve, vanilla, butter and mix it all up, and that’s like your base and pour your chocolate
If I have extra chocolate, I just make little circles, put the almonds and Himalayan’s salt so that it is sweet and salty
Yes, I am exercising
I do 14 minutes a day 3 to 4 days a week
Before Keto, I don’t exercise
I did not even want to go to the shower and get dressed
Everything was a challenge
I gave up drinking and smoking. Just trying anything just to get me through this
I owe it all to my daughter
She’s showed me all these stories and I told myself to give it a try
