ABOUT CHRISTY
I am a stay-at-home mom with a bunch of different jobs
I am 43 years old
I have lost over a 110 pounds over keto
I have learned to live differently and make better or life choices now
I started on September 25th, 2018
It came off really fast. From October to January, there was a 60 Lb. difference
After that, it slowed down and I took slowly and I was totally okay with that
HOW DID YOU FIND KETO
Probably for the last 20 years, I have done some low-carb thing on and off, unsuccessfully
One time it was successful but gained it all back and I started hearing about keto and I looked it up
Everything on the website tells was so confusing. I did not understand any of the terms and it was probably for 6 months that I have researched it
I have a Facebook group that was super strict but they explain everything in a way a normal person can understand it
I started there, I started super strict and I never stopped
I am very grateful for that group and I just read everything
I was done being unhealthy and I was done with being a bad role model for my kids and I was done with being unhappy
I just made up the choice, the decision to finally get myself together
I stayed on track and I don’t carb cycle now
The difference this time too when I started Keto was I cut out dairy
I would do low-carb before and I would eat all the cheese
Right now, I am doing carnivore
I do carnivore Monday through Friday and I am not having dairy with carnivore
Now, even when I eat cheese and fit my macro, I stall
Carnivore helps with your muscle growth and I am still learning about it right now because I have been focusing with keto
I started going to the gym last November of 2018
I was going 7 days a week and I just started out slow so I did hit a plateau yet
When I started adding in the weights, that’s when the scale stop moving
I stop weighing and started doing measurements
I can feel and see the difference
I don’t put my hopes and happiness on the scale
When I was 16, I was wearing a size 3-5 and I weigh 150 and I am 5’6 tall
You can’t go off the numbers
I always weighed heavy so I can compare myself to others
Which is why I don’t put the weight out there because the number doesn’t matter
ADVICE
Such a cliche, but trust the process
Don’t give up because just because the scale is not moving
As long as you’re hitting you macros, hitting you protein, staying under 20 carbs, it going to work
With vegetables, I do net and it’s not that often
When I am not doing carnivore, I am still staying low-carb
One of my favorite for lunch is chicken nachos
I slice the chicken breast so they are in chip size slices, and I top it with guacamole, a little cheese and a hot sauce
I make keto granola, low-carb, sugar-free, gluten-free
It has 1 net carb per serving, 8 ounces in each bag – 8 serving per bag and it is made from clean ingredients
I have a couple of flavors too that is not like most of the granola
People can order it through my Facebook page: eat keto love
My website is still not up but you can order there once it’s up (eatketolovegranola.com)
Currently, I made 8 different flavors but I cycle flavors
I am still lifting weights, but I have to take a break first because I injured myself
I keep pushing myself and I end up hurting myself
I use to do a bunch of cardio and my trainer told me to stop doing it and he gave me a workout with dumbbells
