ABOUT DAWN

  • My husband and I have been married for 15 years
  • We have 3 dogs, no kids and we are self-employed
  • We love what we do for a living
  • I am a certified hypnotherapist, I am a meditation coach and I work with energy, and I get to do that 5 days week
  • I absolutely adore helping people not just to feel better, but also find their true potential, uncover things about themselves that they forgot they have in their
  • It is very rewarding to help people dust themselves off, get in their own two feet and find their glorious seed or potential inside of them because we all have them
  • One thing that every single human in the planet that has in common is, “who doesn’t want to feel better?”
  • Everybody enjoy feeling better, that is why relief is one of the most wonderful things that one can feel and I enjoy helping people make feel better
  • One of the things that a lot of people are having to do right now is that they are being forced to look at things that aren’t working for them
  • For some people it is a big change, some are small tweaks and some is somewhere in the middle of big change and small tweaks and for a lot of people it is scary
  • If there is something that is mildly irritating before, it might require you to look at it at a really serious lease now
  • I wish everybody knew or trusted themselves knew
  • We all come to this earth with a beautiful soul, beautiful potential and we all come with gifts
  • One of the things that we can unwrap those gifts one by one is to listen to what we are being called to do, where does our inspiration want us to go
  • I think we all need to say that if it puts a smile on our face, that is important enough reason to do it
  • For my emotional institution, that feels better
  • Every day is our choice, so let’s choose our choice more wisely
  • I always say that there are Twinkie thoughts and banana thoughts
  • I did a calorie counter for a thoughts
  • If I appreciate someone or myself, that would be an equivalent of 100 calories, but if I criticized someone or myself, that is 1500 calories thoughts
  • I would propose that the same thing matter with thoughts and words
  • When you have exceeded your maximum for the day then you can’t complain anymore
  • Just like I do with food, I need to adjust what I am going to allow myself to speak, think or say
  • The idea is, if we could count our calories with food, we should also count our calories for our thoughts and words
  • Telling someone how much you appreciate them, that’s an apple thought
  • Telling someone how beautiful they are, that’s a banana thought
  • Telling someone what they are doing wrong, that’s a Twinkie thought
  • We are all responsible for the words that we speak and we are all responsible for the inner dialogue that we hold whether we say it or not
  • If you want to feel better with your own heart, I would say to raise people up and remind them of who they are when they forget, remind them how special they are, all the reasons you love them
  • If emotions can go viral then love be the thing that got viral
  • I remind people how powerful they are, how powerful words and vibrations is
  • Let’s stop judging, shaming and comparing, and let’s start having compassion, finding the beauty in things because everybody matters
  • I don’t think anybody is right or wrong for doing things what everybody feels that they need to do
  • At the end of the day, respect and consideration is important
  • The only thing that we are trying to do is get from here, to the tree that the lion won’t get to the top on so that we can survive
  • There are physiologically happens in your body when you’re in survival mode
  • But survival mode was always supposed to be a sprint, not a marathon
  • We are 100% responsible for making sure we manage our stress
  • Some people are biking, walking or going on walks but for me, it’s meditation
  • Whatever your distress is, you do it
  • We have to be diligent in managing our stress
  • When we do our meditation or when I put people in meditation, the blood and the energy starts to come back to your stomach, chest and heart and all of a sudden, you’re not in that survival mode
  • Next thing you know, headaches are starting to slip away or your muscles are starting to relax
  • When your body physiologically move out of firefights and back into rest and repair, your digestion is back on track
  • Meditation for my clients is a game-changer
  • Everybody wants to feel better – everybody has one thing in common

ADVICE

  • Do not think that you’re going to be perfect about it overnight
  • When you’re learning to meditate, we are so conditioned to never have a moment of quiet
  • Just the idea of still feeling daunting, so what I say is, don’t beat yourself up and don’t give up
  • Next thing you know, you will good enough meditation and it will be like a piece of cake
  • Give yourself to try
  • Stick with it, practice it and don’t let your inner critic win that battle
  • You can go to YouTube, Zen Room for my guided meditation
  • That is a great way to start
  • There is real value in stillness
  • The beauty is in the quiet and stillness
  • I started collecting lessons and shared it
  • Next thing, I knew that I got to write a book
  • I took all of my notes from the zen room and sent it all the editors
  • It’s called, Lessons From My Zen Room
  • It started off of my way sharing my notes to the world
